Overview
This policy describes how Efferd LLC (“Efferd,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit efferd.com, create an account, buy a plan, or otherwise use our product.
Efferd is a library of shadcn/ui blocks. You can browse publicly. An account is required to save favorites, buy Pro or Team, and access the private registry.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us, information created by using the product, and information from browsers, devices, and partners.
Account and profile
If you sign up, we store:
- Name, email address, and email verification status
- Profile image URL from Google or GitHub when you sign in with those providers, or a generated avatar
- Plan (free, pro, or team) and organization membership
- Optional “how you heard about us” answer after a purchase
Authentication
You can sign in with email (one-time codes), Google, or GitHub. We store session tokens, OAuth account identifiers, and, for security, IP address and user agent on sessions. Email codes are sent by Resend and expire after a short time.
Product data
- Blocks you mark as favorites
- Registry tokens and last-used time, so Pro and Team installs work
- Team workspaces: organization name, members, roles, and pending invitations
Payments
Purchases are processed by Polar. Polar collects payment details. We receive customer name, email, order and checkout identifiers, product, amount, and currency so we can unlock the plan you bought and show invoices. We do not store full card numbers.
Device, location, and logs
Like most sites, we receive IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location from our host (Vercel). Approximate country may be used to show an optional regional discount. If a connection looks like a VPN, proxy, or datacenter, we may skip that discount. We do not use that check to identify you.
Referrals and affiliates
If you arrive with a referral or affiliate link, we may store the source in your browser (typically for 30 days) so a purchase can be attributed. Affonso runs our affiliate program.
How we use it
We use this information to:
- Create and secure your account, including login and sessions
- Provide the product: favorites, registry access, team seats, and invoices
- Process payments and fulfill Pro or Team purchases
- Send transactional email (sign-in codes, team invitations, checkout follow-ups)
- Add you to our email audience so we can send product updates related to your plan
- Measure site usage and improve the product
- Attribute affiliates and measure ads
- Prevent abuse and enforce our terms
- Respond when you contact us
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and similar storage for:
- Authentication and session (required to stay signed in)
- Theme, editor, and similar preferences on your device
- Affiliate and referral attribution
- Analytics and advertising pixels described below
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block authentication cookies, you will not be able to stay signed in.
Analytics and advertising
We use:
- Vercel Analytics for aggregated traffic (no advertising cookies)
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API for ads and purchase measurement. Purchase events may include a hashed email and a hashed user id so Meta can match the event without receiving your raw email from our servers.
- X (Twitter) Pixel for ads and purchase measurement
- Affonso for affiliate tracking
These tools may set cookies or read device identifiers, and they may combine data with other information they have about you. We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share data with advertising partners as described here, which some privacy laws treat as “sharing” or targeted advertising.
You can limit this through your browser, OS ad settings, or the opt-outs offered by Meta and X.
Who we share with
We share information with companies that help us run Efferd. They are only allowed to use it for that work:
- Polar — payments, customer portal, and invoices
- Vercel — hosting and analytics
- Neon — database hosting
- Resend — transactional email and audience lists
- Google — optional Google sign-in
- GitHub — optional GitHub sign-in
- Affonso — affiliate attribution
We may also share information if required by law, to protect Efferd or others, or as part of a merger, sale, or similar transaction. Team owners who invite you will see your membership in that workspace.
How long we keep it
We keep account, purchase, and product data for as long as your account is active and as long as we need it for the product, taxes, disputes, or legal obligations. Sessions and email codes expire. Registry tokens stay until you revoke them or the account is closed. You can ask us to delete your account as described below.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, and California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of targeted advertising.
You can update your name and email in Account. For access, deletion, or other requests, email support@efferd.com. We may need to verify it is you. If we decline a request where the law allows, we will explain why.
International transfers
We are based in the United States. Our processors also operate in the US and other countries. If you use Efferd from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection rules than your country.
Children
Efferd is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of Efferd after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes will be posted on this page.
